Possibilities | Our Yes | Hart Inspirations

One of my all-time favorite author quotes, by e.e. cummings:

“[Thank you]… for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.”

My focus point for this post is “which is infinite, which is yes”. Our world right now can make it tough to embrace our infinite possibilities. From the time we are (about) two years old and we are asserting our individuality, we are told “No” quite a lot. “Learn the rules, learn your limitations, conform.”

Yes, to have a functioning and safe society, as a collective we need certain moral agreements. But then beyond those, what if our societies and education systems were geared to nurture the “Yes” in each of us? That is, the innate creative intelligence we are born with, and the desire to express it fully? Just think of the world that we could build!

It’s time for us to fully embrace our “Yes”, and to soar.
