As birds cam transcend the ground and fly towards the heavens, they have been revered in various cultures (particularly indigenous) as messengers between Deity and man. What a lovely thought! Feathered beings with wings of angels, speaking to us on this Earth.
I have written previously about the healing effects of forest bathing, but apparently research is showing the positive effects of bird song. For my part, I remember the way my spirit lifted in springtime at the first sound of the robin’s call. “They’re back!”, and my heart sang along with them.
Nature has a language that we understand when we empty our minds and enter a state of simply being. Our hearts assimilate the messages, and our souls delight in them.
