Unlock the Door | Hate & Love

What could I ever say about hate and love that would rival the words of one of the greatest visionaries for humanity, Martin Luther King Jr.? The below quotes are reminders from this great man. And make no mistake, this post is not meant to be simply a commentary about rascism. It is broader than that.

We all grapple with the dark nights of our own souls. Hate has the potential to rear its ugly head in various situations, small to big. And, each of us holds the key to overcome the world’s hate. It is not in “someone else’s hands”. Unless we overcome our own darkness, the world will not be survive its darkness.

Inspirational Martin Luther King quotes:

“Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness.”

“Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

“Let no man pull you so low as to hate him.”

“I have decided to stick to love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.”

“We must learn to live together as brothers, or perish together as fools.”

“We are now faced with the fact that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there is such a thing as being too late.”
